Finally, let me share a few songs that challenge me to live for God’s glory. First, an older song Dallas Holm used to sing:
“To the glory, the glory of God
To the marvelous glory of God
Every word, every breath

And then a new song that got me thinking about this again, sung by Aaron Shust:
“To God alone be the glory
To God alone be the praise
Everything I say and do
Let it be all for you
The glory is yours alone”

Don’t hear much about Dallas Holmes any more. I spent a year at the Wilkerson ranch in the mid 70’s; it was the first year for a 1 year leadership training deal they had put together. Pretty cool deal. Got to hear Ravenhill for a 3 day seminar and go on two of Wilkerson’s crusades. But back to Dallas Holmes; he was there as well. He was the music for Wilkerson’s crusades. He wrote ‘Rise Again’ that year and we were the first to hear it. Great song.

Interesting. I’ve been listening to his music all my life. My Dad got me started – they went to the same college, though I don’t think they knew each other. By the way, you have dated yourself. I was born in the early 70’s….
